The character of Eklan the Infiltrator is a piece of ARTWORK that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow both as an artist and as a storyteller. This project broadened my creative scope and gave me the courage to explore new ideas.

Eklan is a unique blend of dracthyr and dragonborn, a concept that allowed me to dive into new territory. Building on this foundation, I experimented with shape design and anatomy, tackling challenges I hadn’t faced before. While the finished work might look seamless when condensed into a 13-minute video from 16 hours of effort, the process was anything but straightforward. There were plenty of moments spent figuring things out, making mistakes, and hoping that persistence would pay off.

One of the biggest leaps in this piece was the bold use of saturation and vibrancy. Typically, I shy away from such intense colors, partly due to my own discomfort with them. However, this time, I made a deliberate push to embrace them, using vivid hues to bring Eklan’s dynamic personality to life. The result was a piece that not only challenged me but also marked a step forward in my artistic journey.

Through Eklan, I explored not only new technical approaches but also my own boundaries as an artist. This work reflects the spirit of experimentation, resilience, and the beauty of stepping into the unknown.
