endling

"Coven’s Endling" artwork, depicting a lone survivor returning to confront her coven.

An exploration into the dark concept inspired by the adage, “The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth”, gave birth to this haunting piece of ARTWORK titled “Coven’s Endling”.

In this tale, the one cast into the wilderness, under the guise of a rite of passage meant to break her, emerged as something more. She not only survived the wilderness’s terrors but was forged by them into a creature of resilience and defiance.

Her unexpected return to the coven was not met with celebration but cold rejection from the very sisters who should have welcomed her back. Betrayed and alienated, she embraced her wrath. The child they sought to discard had become something they could no longer control.

“Coven’s Endling” captures a crucial moment: the moment before the clash between the abandoned child turned fierce survivor and the hags who once held power over her fate. Through shadowed tones and stark contrasts, this piece explores themes of rejection, transformation, and the raw strength born from pain.
